Ormandy select Hansa Financials to support business growth Water heater manufacturer is using Hansa to enable integrated financial accounting and job costing

Start-up organisation, Ormandy Ltd, a commercial manufacturer of industrial water heaters, has placed an order valued in the region of £15,000 with software reseller, Mac Accessory Centre, for Hansa Financials - a fully integrated suite of financial accounting, job costing and business management software from Hansa Business Solutions.

Launched in February 2001, Ormandy supplies water heaters to schools, hotels, hospitals, medical centres and leisure centres. It will use Hansa Financials operating on a Windows platform to provide a flexible, scaleable financial management infrastructure at the core of its business that will support the company as it continues to expand its operations.

In addition to the core financial accounting modules, Ormandy will also be using the job costing functionality of Hansa. This will enable the collection and monitoring of details such as materials usage and overall costings for each bespoke solution that Ormandy provides, and subsequent analysis of the profitability of contracts against estimates.

Paul Cooper, Managing Director of Ormandy, comments, "We looked at a number of business management systems but Hansa was unrivalled in terms of flexibility, scaleability and ease of use. The broad functionality within the core product is very impressive, which combined with its low cost of ownership, made it the obvious choice of software for our business."

Hansa uses a single underlying database and application language that enables Ormandy to take advantage of truly integrated financials and job costing modules, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of real-time information. In addition, the functionality of Hansa offers email, CRM, e-commerce and logistics capabilities that will enable Ormandy to extend the benefits of the product as it continues to expand its business activities.

 

As there were so few financial solutions available on the Mac platform, we did consider installing PC systems to make our selection process easier, though such a change posed huge cost implications. However, Hansa presented us with the only viable alternative that complied with our preference to continue operating on a Mac network, at an extremely competitive price.
